What is Tae kwon do?
Tae kwon do is literally defined as the "way" of the "foot" and "hand." This martial art was developed over 20 centuries ago in Korea, and has now become their national sport, as well as recognized in the Olympic Games. Not only is tae kwon do an Olympic-caliber sport, but foremost, it is also a way of life. This "way" aims to teach the development of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, self-confidence, and of course, self-defense.
